The Extraordinary Vessels
These lay the foundations for the Diploma course, introducing some of the principles of the way Suzanne works and the “new” meridians. The Extraordinary vessels are important for working with all clients not just in the maternity period. Each course will give an overview of the importance and role of the Eight Extraordinary Vessels as a group. For the maternity courses there is a special focus on the Penetrating Vessel (Chong), Heart-Uterus, Kidney-Uterus and Girdle (Dai) Vessel. For general courses, Suzanne also teaches about the Yin and Yang Qiao and the Yin and Yang Wei.
They are self-contained and are a pre-requisite for the diploma course, but can be attended without committing to the full diploma course. They are sometimes in the form of a one day workshop, two day, foundation module or 4 day course, depending on the country. They are often taught by Suzanne Yates but may sometimes be offered by one of her teachers.
They are open to any shiatsu practitioner, or students nearing the end of their studies.
