We want to support your well being in preparing for pregnancy, as well as during pregnancy, birth and getting to know your baby.

If you live in London or Bristol you might want to experience or work in person by coming to the launch events for our book for parents Beautiful Birth: November 9th London and November 11th Bristol .

If you can’t attend this you could do our on line course (Beautiful Birth)

You can also look at the courses we do for practitioners as often there are free clinics there: contact us to book your space on a specific course clinic.

We would also encourage you to find a practitioner to work with you.

For tips to find the right person for you: might want to read our  blog

If you would like to get some ideas of the benefits of massage and shiatsu and our work then you can look in our Blogs:  I have suggested some blogs which you might find interesting, but you can always search key works.

Shiatsu and massage for 21st maternity care

Baby breath hug

Pelvic girdle instability

I was lucky enough to have attended a couple of birth preparation sessions and two couple of shiatsu treatments from Suzanne and a few from other lovely therapists.

As someone who loves massage, shiatsu and yoga I really appreciated the firm but gentle touch in pregnancy.  I felt balanced by it and a little more prepared for my baby’s birth after each session.  It was brilliant to introduce my husband to shiatsu as he isn't someone who goes for massages himself.

He found the sessions very relaxed and it they really helped us both learn practical techniques to aid discomfort during labour and bond in the later pregnancy experience.

I feel extremely grateful for this as my labour was slow and long and I relied on massage for my only pain relief through every surge over the 5 day labour.

My first son Jack was born at home where I felt most at ease.  I felt in the zone and relaxed for the majority of my labour as I had done all the preparation to get there and had great support from my wonderful husband, doula and midwives.  I would recommend any mother to be to take the time for treatments and guidance of these tender and talented women.

“Regular sessions with Suzanne game me strength in both body and mind, even before conception which was a journey in itself with many IVF treatments! I sailed through my pregnancy and my body coped brilliantly and Suzanne gave my partner some tips on points and massage techniques for labour which were used and very effective. Despite pressure to be induced (I was 41) around my due date and thanks to the trust I had in my own body and some last minute sessions with Suzanne, I went into spontaneous labour about a week after my due date. My labour was so manageable that I took only 2 paracetamol and gave birth to our daughter in water with relative ease and my partner at my side. I was home a few hours later and definitely credit shiatsu for my wonderful labour!”
